与其他运动相比,瑜伽着重的是身心灵的连接,是全面向的个人修行。一个看似简单的肢体动作,讲求的不只肌肉筋骨的配合,更是当下呼吸与内心的一致。当有些人只着眼于瑜伽动作的完整性,瑜伽导师 魏秋琪 Stefanie 却希望通过瑜伽得到更长久的收获,一个让心灵更满足的体会。
// 一切由长期病患开始 //
Can you imagine that the fit and honey-skinned Stefanie in front of you used to be a long-term patient who frequently visited hospitals? Stefanie’s story, just like her Chinese name “Qiūqí,” is a “miracle of autumn.” Born prematurely, she has been troubled by respiratory problems since childhood, often experiencing difficulty breathing and seeking emergency medical treatment. Her breathing problems worsened when she moved to Taiwan for work, but unfortunately, after various examinations, the root cause could not be found. At that time, Taiwanese doctors suggested that everything might be related to psychology. This wake-up call prompted Stefanie to seek psychological solutions, resign from her high-stress interior design job, move to Canada to study psychology, and embark on a yoga practice that would influence her life. Transforming from a non-athletic woman to a professional yoga instructor, she founded a hidden yoga studio in Discovery Bay, teaching not just yoga poses, but also the connection with the soul.
// 专注呼吸 放慢而不用力 //
每个人都知道瑜伽有减压作用,但当你专心完成不同动作时,究竟如何做到减压?瑜伽讲求的是专注集中,专注调节呼吸频率,集中感受身体每一组肌肉的拉扯,思想自然地就会暂时逃离压力与烦忧。「瑜伽其中一个理论就是正念,认识身体更要回归呼吸,以呼吸作桥梁去连接身体及思想,就如剥开一层一层洋葱皮,从身体开始了解自己内心。当遇上负面情绪时,懂得提醒自己退后一步,不容许自己逗留于负面情绪,调节呼吸调节情绪,回到正向的轨道。」
调适是适当的调整,不是过份用力地挣扎,自言过去曾经 “try too hard” 的 Stefanie 提醒大家调适呼吸反而是放慢呼吸,过份用力就如在水中挣扎,愈用力沉得愈快愈深。
// 瑜伽垫上的小满足 //
除了减压和运动之外,现在城市男女对瑜伽有着另一种执念,穿上时尚感瑜伽服摆出高难度动作,打卡拍照再在网络世界寻求点赞认同。不能否认这个潮流也会带来满足感,不过减去点赞留言数字以后,你的个人得到还剩下什么?「香港生活习惯目标导向,就连做瑜伽也要以完成高难度动作为目标,满足于完成能人所不能的动作。不过对我而言,能依时走进瑜伽教室,打开瑜伽垫,哪怕整日练习只集中于调节手腕动作,已经是一个 steps towards success 的满足」。瑜伽垫上的满足,绝对不是物质化与形式化,瑜伽不会为你带来丰厚优越的物质享受与虚荣。没有较劲也没有指标,只集中于个人修行上的进步,这种满足带来心灵上最纯粹的快乐。
// 理想化的正念生活 //
即使作为瑜伽导师,每天都被瑜伽正念包围,作为面对生活压力的现代人,Stefanie 当然也有沮丧负面的时刻。”疫情对瑜伽教室的影响很大,也令我质疑自己,甚至放弃的想法。只不过我懂得调整心态,当你觉得快要失败的时候,其实就是一个挑战极限的机会。”
挑战当前,不放弃就是成功的秘诀,不要让负面思维完全操控你。Stefanie 的瑜伽教室有 3 个概念,Tune up、Light up 与 Wake Up。Tune up 就如发动汽车般唤醒身体、Light up 就是情绪层面上的正面提升,Wake Up 追求的则是内心训练。逆境自处保持正向态度,就是是强身健体之外,瑜伽修行中更重要一课。
