The hidden 4000-square-foot izakaya “Kyo” in Kwun Tong regularly hosts two bluefin tuna dissection feasts each month (HK$1288 per person), with each tuna directly delivered from Nagasaki Prefecture in Japan, weighing 60 kilograms, fresh and delicious! In addition to watching the sushi master’s skills and tasting fresh bluefin tuna sashimi, the izakaya also invites a Japanese cultural lecturer to explain the special features of bluefin tuna and share knowledge about Japanese culinary culture on the spot!
The tuna has a total of 10 dishes, with a price that allows you to eat from head to tail, all-you-can-eat, and special parts to taste! This includes tuna belly, salt-grilled tuna jaw, sashimi such as fish bone toro, otoro, chutoro, akami, sushi with seared toro, chutoro, akami, as well as a self-service experience to taste seared back fin, chutoro, and tuna belly hand rolls! In addition, three appetizers, Australian wagyu, fish milk soup, water shingen mochi, and more, will definitely satisfy your cravings!
Different parts of tuna paired with different cooking methods, each with its own freshness and texture! The lean meat is firm and chewy, while the otoro has more fat, making it the most delicious part of the whole fish, melting in your mouth! The rare parts like the fish head and shark fin otoro are fragrant and fatty, especially when marinated in soy sauce with scallions, enhancing the flavor even more!
