The newly opened Omakase restaurant Hiru in Causeway Bay breaks away from the traditional dark wooden style and adopts a design theme of all white. It also incorporates Japanese elements, transforming the outdoor space into a Japanese garden and using concepts such as dry landscape gardens and materials like washi paper to create a calm and tranquil atmosphere.
The chef’s menu is curated by experienced masters, with Omakase starting from $988 for dinner. Omakase includes appetizers, sashimi, small dishes, seasonal dishes, and a main course. The restaurant sources various high-quality and rare seasonal ingredients, including mountain vegetables, Hokkaido’s top-grade anglerfish liver, naturally caught tuna from Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture, additive-free saltwater sea urchin, and ice-cold yellowtail from Toyama Bay.
Guests can also make a reservation for the seasonal set menu ($2,488) at least 3 days in advance, and customize the dishes according to their personal preferences. They can also request special menus such as a full crab feast, all white fish, or even a full lobster menu.
More affordable options include the Omakase lunch sushi ($488 and up), as well as a limited lunch set menu ($298). At this price point, you can dine in such a unique environment, making it worth experiencing.
