The first popular Thai restaurant in Hong Kong to introduce volcano ribs, “Milu Thai มิลู่ไทย”, recently opened a new branch in Tsim Sha Tsui. The walls of the restaurant are covered with ocean graffiti designed by Thai artists, and there is also an outdoor flower house terrace area for photo opportunities.
Milu Thai’s signature dish at the Bangkok night market is the “Thai-style volcano bone.” In their new Tsim Sha Tsui location, they have introduced a new dish called “Sweet and Sour Sauce Thai-style Volcano Bone.” The tender and boneless pork neck bones are simmered in a secret broth until flavorful, then layered to form a giant volcano and topped with a tangy sweet sauce. It’s a generous portion that will surely awaken your appetite! They also offer the original volcano spare ribs, which are coated in a classic spicy and sour sauce, preserving the traditional Thai flavor!
“Flaming Roast Chicken” is also a signature dish, before serving, brush maltose on the chicken skin, then pour Fenjiu on the roast chicken and ignite it on the spot to create a flaming effect, adding a layer of charred fragrance to the chicken skin. The “Curry Trio” includes fragrant green curry paired with crispy soft-shell crab; spicy red curry with fresh mussels, prawns, squid, and rich yellow curry with scallops and ginkgo nuts, served with crispy garlic bread crumbs.
Authentic Thai cuisine would not be complete without Tom Yum soup, and Milu Thai’s “Tom Yum Soup with Giant Prawns” uses lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, straw mushrooms, cilantro, fresh lime, and other spices, combined with coconut milk and evaporated milk to create a unique and tangy soup base. Fresh giant prawns are then added and simmered together to bring out the freshness.
“Blast-fried crab” is cooked with a variety of spices to create tender and juicy crab meat, stir-fried with cooking wine over high heat, resulting in a flavorful and spicy dish! “Lime and spicy hot pot blackfish” has tender fish meat, combined with chewy vermicelli and a soup made from lime and various Thai spices, creating a sour and spicy appetizer!
There are also “snack platters” that include homemade shrimp cakes, fish cakes, crispy spring rolls, and fragrant leaf-wrapped chicken, as well as “Thai-style skewers” with secret sauce, offering a wide selection!
