The decor of the Ritz-Carlton bar in Hong Kong draws inspiration from the King Cole Bar at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in New York, with dark wood paneling and luxurious furnishings, creating a modern vintage style.
The inspiration for the 16 signature cocktails comes from Hong Kong trams and New York subway lines, with a focus on promoting “The St. Regis Hong Kong Canto Mary 2.0”. This “Hong Kong version of the Bloody Mary” incorporates flavors unique to Hong Kong, such as dried tangerine peel, Kowloon Soy Sauce Factory soy sauce, and five different spices. The latest recipe also includes sherry and smoky Italian brandy to create a multi-dimensional taste.
“Bremer’s Tea” is named after Captain James Bremer, the first person to set foot on the original coastline of Hong Kong at the intersection of Queen’s Road Central and Waterfall Bay Road. The cocktail combines Hong Kong gin with salted kumquats and oolong tea, creating a citrusy and salty flavor with a hint of osmanthus fragrance. As for “Corn ‘n’ Oil,” it is a reinterpretation of the classic Barbados rum, mixed with spirits and ingredients from around the world, resulting in a high-alcohol content and a fruity aroma.
The menu also offers a variety of delicious dishes to choose from, such as “Crispy Tiger Prawns” and “Mushroom & Cheese Arancini”, which are perfect to enjoy with cocktails!
