Pentola, which specializes in handmade pasta, has opened its second branch in Kwun Tong Yau Man Square after its debut at Tai Po Art Center last year! In addition to new limited dishes, they are also offering opening promotions!
Pentola’s new dish includes “Italian Seafood Stew,” a rich and flavorful broth made from simmering Roma tomatoes, with a generous amount of seafood such as clams, mussels, tiger prawns, and sea bass. Saffron and fennel are added for seasoning, resulting in a delicious taste. “White Anchovy Eggplant Puree Toast” is made by spreading sauce on toasted bread and topping it with boneless white anchovy fillets, then drizzling olive oil on top, creating an appetizing flavor.
As for the new store’s handmade pasta, it is made with a mixture of Italian flour and locally produced flour from Kowloon flour factory, which gives it both the original aroma of wheat and a great texture. Among them, there is the signature “Fresh Boston Lobster Pasta” served with half a split lobster, and the “Carbonara Bacon Pasta” is different from others in the market, as Pentola specially uses air-dried pork jowl for a rich and flavorful taste.
Another new dish, “Slow-cooked Beef Cheek with Saffron Risotto,” is slow-cooked in red wine and port wine for 3 hours, making the American beef cheek tender and flavorful. The risotto is cooked with broth and saffron, giving it a unique aroma. The signature dish of green mussels brings a new flavor with “Fresh Green Mussels with Fennel Liquor Sauce,” which has a herbal aroma compared to the usual white wine-cooked mussels. The mussels are tender and served with sourdough bread, dipped in mussel sauce while eating.
If you want to have a little drink, there is also a series of specialty cocktails to choose from on the menu, such as “Oolong Breeze,” “PI Dirty,” and “Lemon Meringue Pie.” Among them, the “Lemon Meringue Pie” tastes like a drinkable lemon pie, with a surprising flavor!
