Maison Meiji specializes in fusion cuisine and has recently launched new dishes, including a new flavor of omurice. The omurice is made with butter-cooked Japanese pearl rice and topped with a creamy omelette made from 3 to 4 Japanese eggs, resulting in a rich and flavorful combination. There are two new sauces available, one of which is the “Tomato Lobster Sauce” made by simmering lobster heads, shells, tomato chunks, and anchovies for 3 hours. It can be paired with pan-fried lobster, pan-fried prawns, or fried chicken.

Another new sauce is “Seafood Cream Sauce”, which uses garlic butter to stir-fry seafood such as shrimp, squid rings, and clams until fragrant, then adds cream and fresh milk to cook until thick. It can also be served with jumbo prawns or fried chicken.

The “Signature Wellington Beef Fillet with Asparagus” dish is specially made with spinach instead of ham, making it lighter in flavor. The beef fillet is lightly seared, then wrapped in layers of puff pastry, French mustard seed sauce, and spinach, and baked until fragrant. The outer layer is crispy, and the beef is tender and juicy. It is served with homemade Madeira sauce to balance the flavor of the Wellington beef fillet.

The “Fukuoka Mentaiko Pasta” in Maison Meiji’s new menu is different from what you can find elsewhere. The pasta is made with over 130 grams of mentaiko mixed with butter, quickly tossed with cooked pasta, and topped with seared whole mentaiko. It is a generous portion, bursting with the savory taste of mentaiko!

Finally, there is a new dessert called “Matcha Mont Blanc”. It is made by spreading a generous amount of matcha paste on top of a coffee-flavored castella cake with a layer of red bean paste inside. It is then topped with caramelized chestnuts, making it perfect for Instagram!
