City’super brings together Western and Japanese elements in its own restaurant! Enjoy the combination of A5 Wagyu beef, plump Hiroshima oysters, and caviar with champagne.

City’super in Causeway Bay has opened a new in-house brand restaurant called “Iza’bis by city’super”, combining the concepts of a Japanese izakaya and a European bistro. The restaurant offers over 150 European and Japanese dishes, taking advantage of its superior ingredients. A large quantity of high-quality ingredients are carefully selected from around the world by city’super, making the dishes of the same quality more affordable than other restaurants.

First recommend city’super’s own brand of caviar, which collaborates with the French century-old brand Petrossian. There are three types of sturgeon caviar (Baeri, Ossetra, Amursky) priced at $568-$598/10g. They are served with traditional Russian mini pancakes and include a 200ml bottle of champagne, definitely worth it.

Seasonal seafood is also very attractive, and the chilled seafood tower includes Canadian lobster and Hokkaido cod crab legs. If you want something warm, you can choose the “Assorted Seafood Steamed in Broth” ($728), which includes Hiroshima oysters, scallops, and Canadian silver cod fish, all placed in a wooden square box made in Japan, drizzled with sake and heated with kelp soup, allowing you to experience the freshness and richness of the seafood. The “Hiroshima Specialty Steamed Oysters” ($188) are thick, perfectly steamed, and maintain a tender and juicy texture.

You can’t miss out on various types of meat other than seafood, such as the Japanese Yamagata Prefecture-produced Otokomori A5 Wagyu. City’super exclusively sources this grade of Wagyu from Yamagata Prefecture’s Yamaguchi Livestock, and turns it into a Gillette ($588), which can be considered very rare. The meat has a uniform distribution of fat, making it extremely tender. There are also City’super’s own aged American beef, Australian Black Angus beef, and Australian organic grass-fed beef.

There are various salad and appetizer options for those who want to be healthier. It is worth noting the homemade brand “Hakata-ya Tofu,” which offers a variety of dishes made from tofu, which are rich and creamy.
