The Optimist, with a blue-green color scheme and adorned with green plants, is a vibrant restaurant overflowing with Mediterranean vibes. Don’t think you have to travel to some island by the sea, as its location is actually very convenient on Hennessy Road in Wan Chai.

The restaurant is launching a Spanish three-tier afternoon tea set for the first time (HK$198 per person), designed by Executive Chef Victor Caballe Molina, reinterpreting and creating a variety of Spanish classic delicacies. The bottom tier of appetizers includes Spanish padron peppers, roasted tomatoes, Iberico ham with Catalan flatbread, snack skewers with anchovies, Spanish cheese, and chili peppers, Spanish octopus toast, etc.

The middle layer of savory snacks is also very fragrant, and especially suitable for wine pairing. Truffle fried meatballs, Iberian black pig ham fried meatballs, and anchovy croquettes, the top layer of desserts includes Spanish deep-fried ghost with chocolate sauce, caramel custard, Basque cheese cake, the savory food is full of authentic Spanish flavors, more unique than the usual three-tier afternoon tea.

Click on this afternoon tea to enjoy unlimited fruit juice, coffee, or tea. In addition, for just an additional HK$88, you can choose to pair it with Perrier-Jouët champagne or 5 new creative cocktails, including rose-flavored pearl milk tea. Sitting next to the large green-framed windows, filled with sunlight, is very comfortable!
