Recently, a new store on Lee Tung Street in Wan Chai has become the target of foodies! This time, it is the opening of The Baker & The Bottleman led by a Michelin-starred chef. During the day, this British bakery freshly bakes a variety of breads and pastries, and at night it transforms into a bar!
The Baker & The Bottleman in Wan Chai has two floors, with a decor design featuring deep blue and wood tones, exuding a casual British style. The first floor adopts an open design, allowing guests to appreciate the making of various pastries. This new store is led by Simon Rogan, the head chef of the Michelin-starred and “Green Star” British restaurant Roganic, and the various delicious pastries in the store are made by chef Oli Marlow and his team.
Must-try foods in the store include English scones, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, full of texture, and the rich and layered flavor of chocolate cake is also a popular signature dish. In addition, there are various flavors of cakes, sandwiches, cookies, pastries, Brownies, and other light snacks to choose from, including a dessert that combines chocolate cookies with vanilla ice cream, soft cookies and smooth ice cream, bringing two different textures and flavors at once.
In terms of drinks, there are various rich coffees, juices, teas, and chocolates. It is worth mentioning that the paper labels of the drinks are printed with the store’s logo, which is cute and eye-catching!
Arriving in the evening, the second floor of The Baker & The Bottleman transforms into a wine bar, with a wine list designed by Roganic’s Chief Sommelier Pierre Brunelli, offering a variety of natural wines, as well as cheese, cold cuts, and other wine-pairing snacks, allowing wine lovers to enjoy a drink here!
