Although unable to travel there this summer vacation, the Venice-themed coffee shop Venédia has recently arrived in Central, allowing you to experience this Italian charm in Hong Kong as well!
The name “Venédia” is named after the ancient Venetian language, and the interior of the store is filled with 18th-century Rococo-style decorations designed by the famous Venetian designer Antonio Zuppati. Upon entering the store, you can find walls and floors made of Dali marble, decorative doors and windows with relief decorations, showcasing the classical beauty of Venice. The main dining room is adorned with two black and white paintings of the Grand Canal, and the sky-blue crystal glass chandelier hanging from the ceiling is from the small island of Mura in Venice, its artistic shape becoming the highlight of the cafe.
The menu at the coffee shop is co-hosted by the two chefs, Chef Roland Schuller and Chef Bjoern Alexander, from the Michelin-starred restaurant Octavium, offering Italian-style appetizers and desserts made with seasonal ingredients. Must-try items include traditional handmade pasta such as tagliatelle, pappardelle, macaroni, and linguine, paired with fresh shrimp, veal shank, and seafood, as well as vegetarian options.
Indulge in Italian style with the homemade gelato crafted by the pastry chef, including flavors like pistachio, hazelnut, dark chocolate, vanilla, and more, paired with fresh fruits or banana boats. Venédia also offers exquisite desserts like Tiramisu and apple pie for dessert lovers.
To experience the traditional Italian coffee culture, of course, you have to have a cup of rich and fragrant espresso coffee. The uniquely roasted coffee beans, combined with the La Marzocco coffee machine known as the “Ferrari of the coffee machine world,” make Venédia coffee exude a rich aroma and complexity, while the latte art craftsmanship makes the coffee even more exquisite and delicate.
If you like classic Italian cocktails, you can try a variety of Venetian-style wines such as bellini, spritz, sgroppino, etc., to experience a leisurely and relaxing moment. You may also enjoy a glass before dinner to experience the unique Aperitivo culture and leisurely time.
