Although everyone understands the saying “You are what you eat,” choosing the right ingredients based on the season, physical and mental state, and balancing deliciousness with health is definitely a profound knowledge! The popular check-in restaurant NINETYs has recently collaborated with the natural and healthy lifestyle brand 10/10 HOPE to launch the “Summer Five Elements Health Menu,” drawing inspiration from the “fire” element in the Five Elements to design a variety of new dishes corresponding to the summer season!
In the five elements health regimen, summer is the season to focus on nourishing the heart and intestines. In order to adapt to the natural characteristics, NINETYs deliberately selected the natural flagship products from 10/10 HOPE, placed them in the restaurant, and used natural ingredients to bring a health menu that incorporates the “fire” element. The dishes also specially use fire element plant extracts, such as lavender, cinnamon, rosemary, vanilla, and basil, to enhance the taste layers, while also focusing on the balance of physical and mental health.
The summer five-element health menu brings 5 choices, including two slow-cooked dishes. The “Slow-cooked Japanese Chicken Steak” is cooked at 63 degrees to retain a tender texture, more juice, and nutrients. The chicken steak is brushed with butter, making it incredibly delicious! Lavender is sprinkled on the chicken steak, not only emitting fragrance but also promoting smooth liver and gallbladder function, reducing stress and promoting relaxation. The “Slow-cooked Golden Threadfin Bream” is paired with garlic and rosemary, which helps balance the spleen and stomach, and refreshes the mind. After slow cooking, it is pan-fried to achieve a crispy texture, making the fish meat even more delicious.
“The Australian wild buffalo meat cooked on hot stones” is first marinated with Spanish salt and cinnamon, then gently heated on hot stones, with a fragrant aroma, tender texture, and rich meat juice that lingers on the palate. The addition of cinnamon effectively promotes gastrointestinal motility and blood circulation, and also has a soothing effect on the mind. Another dish, “Roasted French grass-fed chicken,” stuffs vanilla seeds, lavender, and Blueberry cupcake tea into the chicken, then slow-cooks the whole thing. After baking together with a variety of ingredients, it emits a rich aroma, with the vanilla helping to enhance positive emotions and provide antioxidant benefits.
If you like cheese, don’t miss out on the “Buffalo Cheese with Special French Tomatoes.” The taste is fresh, sweet, and appetizing, paired with basil rich in vitamin K, which promotes digestion and improves gastritis. It also helps calm, has antioxidant properties, and improves mental fatigue.
In addition, NINETYs has also partnered with 10/10 HOPE to bring two consecutive “GREEN Dining Night” events at the NINETYs Roastery in Causeway Bay on July 21 and 22, offering activities such as “Stress-Relief Rollerball Essential Oil Making Workshop,” “Aromatherapy Psychology – Explore Your Plant Personality,” and “15min Coffee Brewing Workshop” to relax your body and mind.
