On weekends, in addition to Western cuisine and Chinese dim sum, there are also Japanese options for brunch! Recently, KYOTO JOE, a Japanese izakaya in Lan Kwai Fong, has launched a “Sakura Sea Bream-themed brunch” featuring freshly caught natural sea bream.
This Japanese-style brunch includes over ten unlimited servings of appetizers, salads, grilled dishes, and fried foods. Must-try items include simmered abalone, Hokkaido snow crab and sakura shrimp spinach salad, Miyazaki wagyu skewers, and angel shrimp tempura. The salt-grilled cherry snapper has a crispy and fragrant skin, perfectly cooked fish meat, and is seasoned with simple sea salt to bring out the original flavor of the snapper.
Afterwards, there was a sashimi and sushi platter for one person, including sashimi such as sakura sea bream, Hokkaido scallops, botan shrimp, tuna belly, and chef’s recommendation, as well as sushi such as sakura sea bream sushi, Miyazaki wagyu sushi, tuna belly sushi, and flounder sushi. For parties of four or more, an additional serving of thinly sliced sakura sea bream sashimi will be given as a complimentary gift, with a refreshing and smooth texture of the fish, best enjoyed dipped in vinegar sauce for a sweet and refreshing taste.
The main course options include Sakura sea bream paper hot pot, served with sea bream fish cake, camellia puree, and chrysanthemum greens. Other options include the flavorful lobster soup ramen, evenly distributed A4 Miyazaki sirloin teppanyaki with snowflake pattern, and grilled silver cod with Kyoto-style miso. Finally, enjoy a chef’s selection dessert for a satisfying meal!
