Kowloon City Premium Japanese Cuisine! Robatayaki/Teppanyaki/Sushi Tasting Menu/Send Uni Cup

Where do you want to go for a Christmas meal celebration? It doesn’t have to be in a bustling area. There is a high-end Japanese restaurant called “Sanwa” in Kowloon City. The restaurant is located in a standalone building with five floors, offering a combination of three traditional Japanese cuisines: sushi, teppanyaki, and robatayaki. Each floor has its own specialty, prepared by dedicated chefs. Additionally, there are two VIP rooms on top of the five floors.

The restaurant has recently launched a creative winter tasting menu for $1,480 per person. The eight-course menu includes a variety of sushi, teppanyaki, and robatayaki dishes, featuring seasonal premium ingredients such as Hokkaido crab and Australian lobster. In celebration of the restaurant’s fourth anniversary, for every two set menus ordered in December, a complimentary sea urchin and shrimp cup will be provided, making it a truly satisfying experience.

The appetizer consists of pine crab meat with water cloud vinegar and fresh salmon roe, refreshing and appetizing. The seasonal sushi includes: seared charcoal-grilled cold yellowtail, matured soy-marinated bluefin tuna belly, and Hokkaido peony shrimp with sea urchin. All three sushi options are quite surprising.

The weather is cold, and the chef is very thoughtful in helping everyone. After finishing the sushi, we serve a hot Hokkaido hairy crab and fish maw soup in a mini clay pot, which warms the heart. Then we have a seafood dish with grilled matsutake mushrooms and mantis shrimp with anglerfish liver sauce, as well as charcoal-grilled live lobster with lobster sauce. They are cooked using teppanyaki and robatayaki methods respectively, each with its own flavor.

The Japanese Kumamoto beef fillet is made with A5 grade wagyu beef, cooked on a hotplate until fragrant. It can be paired with fried Japanese garlic slices, salted kelp, Kinzanji miso, and herb sea salt. Finally, enjoy the angel hair pasta with pine crab meat, crab bisque, and the dessert of Japanese mochi with red bean soup and ginger ice cream. It’s truly satisfying and filling!
