Hong Kong-style teppanyaki restaurants also have ketogenic dishes! Chiba, a new branch of “Eat Bar” in Mong Kok, has a striking fresh purple exterior wall, along with wall lights outside the door, cheese curtains on the glass windows, antique telephones, chandeliers, full of nostalgic Hong Kong feelings, and in addition to teppanyaki meals and nostalgic desserts, there are also ketogenic dishes!
First introduce the nostalgic retro-style grilled dishes, served on a hot plate and immediately drizzled with sauce, with a choice of rice, potatoes or pasta, accompanied by soup, bread, drinks, and dessert. The iron plate lunch set at noon includes all the above combinations, with the cheapest “Pan-fried Chicken Steak with Sailfish Fillet” and “Scallion Pork Chop with Scallop” costing only HK$68.
“The selected eye steak” (HK$79), “What to eat” includes fish fillet, pork chop, chicken chop, beef sausage, all for only HK$88, and the side dishes are not to be underestimated. The soup is full of vegetables, very generous! Sauce options include black pepper, garlic, onion, red wine sauce, and for an additional HK$18, you can have melted cheese! With the whole skillet filled with melted cheese sauce, it is only ignited when it arrives at the table, then poured onto the iron plate, with a generous amount that can cover the entire plate!
The main dishes of the ketogenic diet include “Black Truffle Mushroom Braised Cauliflower Rice” (HK$58), “Smoked Salmon Avocado Salad” (HK$68), and “Pan-Seared Salmon Fillet with Cauliflower Rice” (HK$68), while the snacks include “Fried Cauliflower with Bacon Sour Cream” (HK$78). The cauliflower rice itself is slightly seasoned, flavorful enough, and adding melted cheese makes it even more “sinful”!
The menu also includes other dishes commonly seen in Hong Kong-style Western restaurants, such as Baked Alaska, Banana Boat, Ice Cream Red Bean Ice, Black Angus, and Boiled Water Eggs.
