Next to the sea in Tsim Sha Tsui, a Mexican restaurant! Enjoy a fun afternoon with avocado salsa and a slight buzz.

by

In Hong Kong, you can find almost any dish you can think of, and this time we are introducing PABLO, a Mexican restaurant located near the sea in Tsim Sha Tsui East. They specialize in modern Mexican cuisine, with flavors that are fresh and not too spicy, generous portions, perfect for sharing with friends. The restaurant is spacious, with window seats offering a beautiful view of Victoria Harbour, and natural light streaming in, creating a comfortable atmosphere.

Chef Gerardo Barrientos from Mexico combines Hong Kong flavors with authentic Mexican cuisine, making it more accessible. He recommends the newly launched “Smoked Avocado Salsa” (HK$188), made with two avocados, tomatoes, onions, and other ingredients, with the grilled avocado giving it a unique smoky flavor. The chef will also bring a cart to the table to prepare the salsa on the spot, allowing guests to customize the spiciness, acidity, or add more tomatoes according to their preferences. This refreshing and smooth salsa, paired with a large portion of nachos, is definitely meant to be shared with friends!

A must-order for seafood lovers, the “Seared Tuna Crispy Corn Cake” (HK$158) features lightly seared tuna topped with a secret hollandaise sauce, sprinkled with fried shallots for added crunch. The tender fish paired with the crispy corn cake creates a rich and varied texture. Another recommendation is the “Lemon-Marinated Oilfish” (HK$188), a classic Latin American dish where succulent oilfish is marinated in lemon juice, enhancing its fresh and sweet flavor.

Other dishes include giant grilled octopus, filet mignon, etc., which are all good sharing plate options. There is a happy hour from 12 pm to 6 pm every day, with selected alcoholic drinks priced at HK$58 per glass. Enjoying Mexican food while drinking, spending a slightly tipsy afternoon, is quite enjoyable!
