Second Draft, which closed in Tai Hang earlier this year, is famous for its Tai Hang Fries, Fermented Bean Curd Carbonara, and Coffee Custard, all of which are quite nostalgic. The restaurant has finally reopened in Fashion Walk in Causeway Bay!
Returning customers step into the new store, memories instantly flooding back! The green color scheme, wall lights, and walls all bear the shadow of the old store, with an outdoor seating area as well. In terms of food, several new dishes have been added, with the most eye-catching being the “Grilled Cowboy Bone Bun” (HK$278), a bone larger than a palm, crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside, sandwiched in sourdough bread, served with cabbage and pickles, truly excellent in taste and presentation.
Other classic must-eats include “Big Pit Fries” (HK$88), where thin fries are seasoned with cumin, coriander, and dried chili, while “Coconut Custard” (HK$88) has explosive coconut custard filling, paired with beer syrup, extremely delicious! “Chicken Liver Sauce” (HK$88) spread on sliced fried mantou, rich and fragrant, is the best snack to accompany drinks.
The new store has several unique flavors of beer, including “Picnic in the Park” brewed with fresh lychee, which has a passion fruit aroma. In addition, there is bottled “Fox’s Trot,” a Barrel Aged Wild Ale with a richer taste. The bottled version can be taken home and aged for another year or two before drinking, with limited availability. Don’t miss out if you enjoy drinking beer!
