Located in Wong Chuk Hang, the Arca Hotel recently launched a tea-themed afternoon tea at its restaurant, Arca Society ($438 for two people). The promotion is available from now until the end of June.
The chef uses different types of tea to create a series of sweet and savory desserts, such as pan-fried Hokkaido scallops with Earl Grey tea-infused toast, roasted tea-smoked chicken puffs, roasted tea cheesecake, and Uji matcha red bean cakes. These desserts made with tea have just the right amount of sweetness.
In the afternoon tea, three different types of Japanese tea are specially selected for guests to choose from, including fresh tea, genmaicha, and roasted tea, which are perfect for pairing with tea snacks.
Although the hotel is a bit far away, the advantage is that it is quiet and the environment is comfortable enough to sit. It is the happiest thing to have tea with friends and chat.
