Have you tried the Liège Waffle from Belgium? Our homemade Liège Waffles are authentic and delicious. Two years ago, we opened a shop on Percival Street in Causeway Bay, and we have recently relocated to a new store in Sai Ying Pun. We continue to serve the popular Liège Waffles that everyone loves!
This style originated in the Liège region of Belgium and is named after it. Its characteristic is that the waffle is thinner and has rounded edges on both ends. The surface of the waffle is covered with sugar pearls, giving it a solid and crispy texture with a sweet and fragrant outer layer.
All the waffles in this shop are homemade, with the dough fermented for two hours. Currently, we have two flavors available: Classic ($48) and Matcha ($52), and more flavors will be introduced soon.
The menu also includes savory dishes such as pasta, snacks, and sandwiches. The owner of the shop loves cats, and one of the paninis has an interesting dish name, “Cat’s Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner” ($88), which is actually a cheese and tuna filling. The Panini is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and very delicious.
The café is filled with many books, especially the works of Haruki Murakami, and the menu has two versions, one for customers who come alone and another for those who come with friends, with a message from the owner to the customers.
The indoor space of the coffee shop can only accommodate 10-12 people, but there is a terrace garden at the back door, which is very open and quiet. You can enjoy coffee, read books, and chat with the owner here. It has a more personal touch than the average coffee shop and is full of artistic atmosphere.
