FRANCIS, a popular and reputable restaurant in Wan Chai known for its authentic Israeli cuisine, has recently opened a new branch in Soho, Central called FRANCIS west. This time, they have chosen the theme of the Maghreb region in North Africa, offering unique dishes with smoky flavors from special spices. Don’t assume that Middle Eastern cuisine is difficult to enjoy, as these dishes are actually very easy to eat and perfect for sharing with friends while enjoying a relaxing drink.
The restaurant has an open design facing the street, creating a comfortable and spacious environment. It is located near a bustling street, especially on weekends, and is full of atmosphere.
Must-eat Moroccan stone-baked thin crust bread ($110), hot and spicy out of the oven, filled with the fragrance of wheat, served with chickpea puree, Moroccan tomato sauce, and sesame sauce, appetizing and delicious.
A lemon juice marinated green mussel toast ($120) with tomato bits on top, tangy and flavorful. Also recommended is the grilled squid with harissa sauce ($180), the squid is delicious and tender, with a spicy kick that is satisfying.
