The Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant Ming Court offers a six-course hairy crab feast for $1,338 per person, available from now until the end of November. Featuring selected plump Taihu hairy crabs, the menu includes a variety of delicious and fragrant crab dishes, as well as whole five taels hairy crabs. This year’s crab season started late, making it the best and fattest!
Before the crab feast officially begins, taste the appetizer of caviar, flower carving, and drunken blue angel shrimp. The shrimp meat is fresh and sweet, with a particularly rich flavor. Then there are three small plates, crab meat golden mushroom crispy rolls, crab meat xiaolongbao, and char siu. Among them, char siu is a specialty of the restaurant, with thick and fatty char siu that is not greasy, salty-sweet with a hint of fragrance, and just the right amount of charred edges.
Next is a rich crab meat and crab roe bird’s nest soup, with nourishing bird’s nest combined with crab paste and meat, simmered into a thick soup, sweet and delicious.
