东京奥运开幕在即，各地人士都对这场几经延期的体育盛事深感期待。而日本当局亦对是次活动十分重视，除了在比赛场地、交通、选手村等准备妥当，更在入境体验上花了不少心思！
日本文化厅邀请了MOMA资深策展人Paola Antonelli，连同八位日本艺术家，一起以「VISION GATE」为题，打造了一系列装置艺术及影片作品。它们分布在日本主要机场和东京国际游轮码头，以全方位角度欢迎游客之余，亦引领游客从各个作品中深入了解日本文化！
《人群云》是一件最为突出的大型艺术装置，由艺术家、体验设计师Suzuki Yuri及同为声音艺术家、作曲家Hosoi Miyu进行创作。他们觉得声音是填补隔阂的桥梁，也能缓解外访游客的陌生感。作品采用日语的声音，完成了一首独特乐曲。当喇叭之间互相对话着发出声音，声音听起来就像演奏曲，向到访游客表示欢迎。
《东京主题公园》由日本漫画家Acky Bright创作，Bright的作品多是黑白作品，却有着如同涂鸦的跃动风格。艺术家运用现代漫画的表现方式，利用电绘手法画出在机场外等待旅客的城市形象。东京化身一所主题乐园，欢迎着来自世界的旅客。
艺术家Kodama Sachiko拥有物理学背景，在他的作品中，液体优雅跃动，那种精密的几何学旋转动态，让观众看得目眩神迷。在此影像中，他将暗色调的溶胶染上红色的荧光涂料，让移动的物体看起来仿若被漆覆盖一般，展示了日本传统涂漆与科学的相互结合。
Hitoshobu ( One Shot ) 由 Jun Inoue 創作。Inoue 自幼便開始學習日本傳統藝術書法，後來喜歡上城市裡的嘻哈、塗鴉。雖然都是使用手腕的力量去創作，但表現形式由書法轉換至塗鴉，從掛軸轉變為牆壁。藝術家覺得現場塗鴉喚醒了心中的自我。在這個影像作品中，他強勁的筆法演繹了一種過去與現在的緊張關係。
PARTY是一家创意广告公司，他们成功结合科技和想象力，以影像效果展示地球的困境。影片中的影像看起来仿若卫星拍摄地球表面，当色彩一层覆盖一层，效果就像日本传统的「金翦修复（Golden Repair）」手法，当人类使用金粉装饰陶瓷器的破损部分，美丽的个体便能延续下去。艺术家通过展示那些因地球暖化而融化的南极冰川、因山火消失的森林等，表达出希望人类的意志也能修复备受破坏的地球。
This work was created by Mogi Monika, combining elements of the artist’s fascination with otherworldly realms, Japanese natural landscapes, and the idealization of women. Shot on location at the famous sites of Owakudani in Hakone and the Oya Stone Museum in Gunma, the entire film was captured using a handheld 16mm film camera. Throughout the video, viewers can see a full moon, traditional musical instruments, women dressed in kimono, and young girls wearing dresses made from modified kimono fabric. In fact, all of these elements subtly hint at the artist’s observations on the transformation of traditional female imagery.
这部作品将日本经典文史典籍《古事记》内的场面制成电绘影像。影片中的人做着绕水净化的动作，在消毒变得日常化的今天，“净化”这一动作并不仅指物质，还包括祛除精神污秽，这在神道祭祀，以及茶道等传统文化中亦受重视。Mariko 的作品一向喜欢将日本传统习俗加入她那些多元的作品中，并以一个崭新的视觉影像投射出日本文化的精髓。
This time, the works exhibited at “VISION GATE” not only showcase the charm of contemporary art, but also lead the audience to explore the traditional and trendy culture of Japan. “VISION GATE” made its debut in February this year, riding on the wave of people brought by the Tokyo Olympics, allowing more people to feel the charm of Japanese culture as soon as they arrive in Tokyo. However, welcoming the Tokyo Olympics is just the beginning. Let’s take this opportunity to appreciate the rich content of Japan in literature, visual arts, music, and design beyond sports!
