More crazy than STO and Evo! The all-new V10 super Huracán Tecnica from Lamborghini makes its debut!

About the latest developments of Lamborghini, I believe everyone is eagerly anticipating the successor to the V12 family Aventador. However, unexpectedly, Lamborghini recently introduced a new rear-wheel drive model, the Huracán Tecnica, for its V10 engine family, showcasing the extraordinary ability to handle both the road and the track.

First of all, from the appearance, the Huracán Tecnica does bring changes, but this is not a typical face-lift with purely cosmetic upgrades, but rather a development based on aerodynamics by the manufacturer. In terms of the car’s silhouette, the design inspiration comes from the extreme track car Essenza SCV12’s side window silhouette, with the body length being 6.1 centimeters longer than the Huracán EVO, while still maintaining the distance in body height and width, making the new car look lower and wider. In terms of paint, the black Y-shaped design on the front face extends to the sides of the car, highlighting its dynamic vitality, and the roof can also be painted black, echoing delicately with the black details at the bottom of the lightweight windscreen.

As for the new car’s rear, it also highlights Lamborghini’s lineage. Through the reshaped rear section, it features a new vertical rear window to enhance visibility, a lightweight carbon fiber engine cover, a rear bumper with optimized air intakes, and an airflow diffuser that can be painted in body color or optional black. The exhaust pipes have also been replaced with a new hexagonal design, showcasing the powerful V10 “heart” of Tecnica. If you look closely, you should notice that the new car is equipped with Bridgestone’s Potenza Sport tires complemented by the new hexagonal design, 20″ diamond-cut Damiso wheels, a combination inspired by Lamborghini’s Vision GT, showing great attention to detail.

In addition to the visual impact of the wheelbase and lines, the optimized design gives Tecnica a stronger sense of power and a more aggressive posture. The front end connects to muscular shoulders and a full carbon fiber front hood, with the new front bumper for the first time using the black Y-shaped Terzo Millennio design from the Huracán model, with components including vertical air intakes. In addition, the new front splitter has a lower deflector plate, enhancing airflow guidance around the wheels, improving downforce and cooling effects – data shows that the Huracán Tecnica enjoys a 35% increase in rear downforce compared to the Huracán Evo, while resistance is further reduced by 20%, improving aerodynamic balance, braking, stability during high-speed turns, and overall aerodynamic efficiency.

In the history of the car manufacturer, from its early establishment, the 70s and 80s to the present day evolution, every time a new car appears, it will be given a completely new name; the new car is named Huracán Tecnica, the meaning of which comes from Lamborghini’s new tuning for the car’s technical strength, further showcasing the manufacturer’s technological advancements inside and out. Therefore, the focus of this upgrade is on the technological aspect.

Aiming to create an extreme model that can pursue pure driving pleasure on both the road and the track, Lamborghini has taken data from different models in the family to give the Huracán Tecnica a unique power performance. In terms of specifications, the new car inherits the Huracán STO engine, allowing its power system to output 565 Nm of torque at a maximum of 6,500 rpm, with horsepower also increased by 30 hp compared to the Huracán EVO rear-wheel-drive version, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.

The new car has a curb weight of 1,379 kilograms, with a weight-to-power ratio of 2.15 kilograms/horsepower. In order to enhance the new car’s feedback and dynamic performance, Lamborghini has equipped it with their own LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata) vehicle dynamics control system and an improved version of the high-performance traction control system P-TCS. In addition, it is equipped with a dedicated suspension system, specially designed cooling ducts and caliper ventilation ducts that guide airflow to the brake discs, maximizing heat dissipation and reducing brake fluid temperature and pedal travel with carbon-ceramic brake discs. This allows drivers to fully experience the extraordinary driving experience of the Huracán Tecnica in various road conditions.

Of course, the three major driving modes are also details that cannot be overlooked. Still, the three main modes are Strada (road), SPORT (sport), and CORSA (track), but each dynamic system has been specifically tuned, from the engine, gearbox, throttle response, to rear-wheel steering, torque vectoring, grip control, etc., allowing the Huracán Tecnica to provide completely different responses in various environments.

In STRADA mode, torque vectoring and the P-TCS system ensure stability and handling flexibility; in SPORT mode, rear-wheel steering is enhanced, dynamic control drifts at the threshold of P-TCS, torque vectoring maintains Tecnica’s sensitivity and LDF seven-speed gearbox response; entering CORSA mode, the power system is fully optimized, throttle response and gear change control switch to track driver mode, torque vectoring, P-TCS, and LDVI fully open to provide maximum lateral and longitudinal grip, the 10 cylinders in the naturally aspirated engine are instantly awakened.

Finally, the interior of the cabin. The Huracán Tecnica cabin is crafted with a large amount of premium Alcantara suede, paired with two adjustable height sports seats adorned with Tecnica embroidery and Lamborghini’s iconic hexagonal pattern, the center console screen provides real-time LDVI functionality, supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems.

The HMI interface from the Huracán STO has also been redesigned, and can connect to the UNICA app to provide functions such as tracking destinations, interconnecting telemetry systems, onboard logs, etc. Owners can also choose optional items such as lightweight door designs, lightweight titanium alloy rear arch supports and wheel bolts, and track-specific safety belts.

In addition to the eight standard exterior colors, the car manufacturer’s Ad Personam premium personalization customization options offer over 200 additional paint choices, as well as endless custom pairing possibilities, including rich color and decorative detail combinations, etc. However, Lamborghini has not yet announced the price and delivery details of the new car; although Tecnica is not a limited edition work of the Huracán family, it can be seen from the above introduction alone that the new car price is definitely not friendly. As for what insights Tecnica will bring to the V10 family or the car manufacturer, all car fans, stay tuned!
