Porsche’s first electric vehicle Taycan returns with a brand new 2021 Turbo S version, fully upgraded with “technology”!

Do you remember Porsche’s first electric car, the Taycan, that was introduced last year? Just less than a year after its official launch at the end of last year, the 2021 Taycan has already received an upgrade.

With such a short reproduction period, what upgrades does Porsche bring? The manufacturer has explained that performance is not the main focus of this upgrade, so the main upgrade for the Turbo S is to improve the acceleration from 0 to 200km/h, reducing it from 0.2 seconds to just 9.6 seconds compared to the 2020 version. In contrast, the 2021 Taycan focuses more on technology integration.

The all-new model is equipped with a new color heads-up display, allowing drivers to customize the interface displaying driving data, entertainment information, etc.; the energy consumption of regenerative braking has been reduced from 270kW to 200kW; equipped with Smartlift automatic suspension system, the chassis height will adjust according to the ground conditions.

In terms of charging, car owners can choose to equip a 22-kW battery, which compared to the current version, this capacity can save the new car half of the charging time, and the new battery also has a new feature that can limit the charging capacity to 200kW to prevent the vehicle from overloading due to prolonged charging at home.

In this upgrade, it is necessary to mention the Functions on Demand (FoD) feature, Porsche brings online update system to the 2021 Taycan, and the system allows owners to choose installment payments (monthly) or one-time payment for each update.

As for updates that can be made within FoD, Porsche has introduced several, including the Active Lane Keep Assist system believed to be related to cruise control (€19.50/month; €808.10), the PIRM system for managing driving energy efficiency (€10.72/month; €398.69), and the Power Steering Plus system available for one-time payment only.

Finally, Porsche indicates that the new car will have seven main metallic color options to choose from, including Ice Grey Metallic, Coffee Beige Metallic, Mahogany Metallic, Chalk Neptune Blue, Cherry Metallic, and Frozenberry Metallic; in addition, the factory also offers Carbon Sport Design packages for the three models of the Taycan series, which are very suitable for owners who want to create a more aggressive appearance for their Taycan.
