In the bustling Central district, there is a Fusion restaurant with a Southeast Asian leisurely atmosphere called “Getaway”. The name itself implies a sense of traveling and relaxation. The interior is decorated with a lot of rattan furniture and potted plants, creating a Bali-like ambiance. What’s more, the restaurant is also pet-friendly!
The inspiration for the international dishes in the restaurant comes from various Southeast Asian cuisines. Recommended dishes include “Thai-style Red Shrimp Sashimi,” which combines Spanish red shrimp with traditional Thai shrimp sauce to bring out a tangy and spicy flavor. The Mexican dish Taco also incorporates elements of Thai cuisine, creating the “Mexican Pancake Thai Lettuce Wrap” filled with plenty of pork filling.

As for the signature dish “Getaway Special Roast Chicken,” it is marinated with a combination of traditional Chinese marinade and various Southeast Asian spices for a flavorful taste. It is steamed and then baked, resulting in a slightly crispy skin and tender meat. “Pan-fried Duck Breast with Thai Eggplant in Green Curry Sauce” features slow-cooked duck breast paired with Thai round eggplant and green curry sauce, creating a delicious and appetizing dish.
If you want to have a glass of wine, there are also several special cocktails to choose from, such as “Wanderlust” with a hanging glass and peony flower decoration. This cocktail combines vodka, citrus, and coconut for a sweet and fruity taste. “Island of Desires” has a unique design as well, with vodka as the base liquor, combined with jasmine, coconut, and fresh pandan leaves, bringing a full Southeast Asian flavor!
