More and more newly renovated modern Chinese restaurants are emerging. The latest one is Wing 8, which recently opened in Wan Chai. With a renovation cost of over ten million, it adopts a contemporary art style. It is not only perfect for taking photos but also stunning in appearance.
Although it is a luxury restaurant, there is no need to be scared. The new branch has launched a buffet brunch ($368 per person +10%), available on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. There are over thirty dishes to choose from, including dim sum and appetizers. Each guest can also enjoy a serving of Boston lobster and a special dish of the day.
The dim sum is delicately presented, and the adorable rabbit dumplings are actually filled with rich custard. The pear-shaped savory dumplings are made with Spanish black pork. Of course, there are also shrimp dumplings and siu mai, and other options like coriander dumplings, lava buns, and seafood rolls. As for side dishes, there are crispy roasted pork, sizzling prawns, and the visually appealing and delicious cheese-baked pork chop rice. The promotion is only available until the end of the month, so if you want to eat, you have to act fast!
In such a beautiful environment, why not have a drink or two? The restaurant has its own bar, serving a series of creative cocktails with a Chinese twist. The Mrs Yeung ($128) is made with osmanthus oolong tea and lychee, inspired by Yang Guifei. It has a sweet taste and is particularly special because it uses gin soaked in pu-erh tea. The Twilight ($128) is also made with pu-erh tea, but this time it is infused with gin.
