Rolex has launched the “Perpetual Planet” project since 2019, integrating the brand with various organizations such as the Royal Geographical Society in London, and environmental conservation collaborations with deep-sea explorer Sylvia Earle. In fact, as early as the 1930s, the brand provided equipment for the Royal Geographical Society’s Mount Everest expedition, and officially became its sponsor in 2002, supporting numerous historic exploration activities over the years.

To record and protect the source rivers of the Zambezi River, the brand supports the “African Rivers Project” led by explorer Steve Boyes, tracking and documenting this previously unrecorded river that spans thousands of kilometers.

Steve Boyes and his team have been planning a journey of over 40,000 kilometers over the past few years, equivalent to circling the Earth. The results of the expedition will provide valuable information to help protect the people and wildlife that rely on the rivers of Africa for their survival.
