Terrible Baby, a trendy bar located in Hong Kong, will be hosting a three-day pop-up bar event from July 13th to 15th, 2024, in collaboration with several well-known bars from Southeast Asia and internationally, including Potato Head in Bali, Allegory in Washington, The Hudson Rooms and The Haflington in Hanoi, to celebrate the upcoming 2024 Asia’s 50 Best Bars awards ceremony.
Terrible Baby collaborates with Potato Head Bali
At the first collaboration event on July 13th, Terrible Baby will partner with the famous beach club Potato Head in Bali. That evening, the Potato Head team’s Devita Anjani and Agustin Da Sambiagio will mix a series of signature cocktails, sponsored by the Indonesian rum brands Nusa Cana and Milestone Beverages.
The featured cocktails of the evening include Potato Head’s signature creation, Barong Zombie (HK$130), which is based on Nusa Cana Indonesian tropical island spiced rum, combined with pineapple liqueur, absinthe, and homemade “Zombie Mix,” bringing out unique spicy flavors and refreshing pineapple fruitiness.
Allegory & Friends Guest Bartender Pop-up
On July 14th, Allegory from the Eaton Hotel in Washington D.C. will bring their creative cocktail experience. Ranked 23rd in the “50 Best Bars in North America,” Allegory’s Creative Director Deke Dunne will be in Hong Kong, inviting a mysterious guest bartender from the “Asia’s 50 Best Bars” to create surprising cocktails for guests.
Allegory The bar is themed around the works of renowned artist Erik Thor Sandberg, interpreting the classic fairy tales “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking-Glass” with the story of Ruby Bridge, a black girl, giving the bar a unique artistic atmosphere and profound meaning.
Hanoi, Vietnam Flash Bar
On July 15th, The Haflington and The Hudson Rooms from Hanoi, Vietnam will take over Terrible Baby, presenting a variety of creative cocktails. Sean Halse, F&B Manager of the JW Marriott Hanoi, Collin Nguyen, General Manager of The Haflington, and Chief Mixologist Thomas Nguyen will serve as guest bartenders.
The featured cocktails of the evening include The Hudson Rooms’ Warbonnet Locomotive (HK$130), a cocktail made with tequila, mezcal, and Aperol, garnished with purple cabbage and citrus, offering a playful taste. The Haflington’s The Kingship (HK$130) features Naked Malt whiskey and Lillet Blanc as the base, paired with black pepper honey, lemon juice, and kaffir lime leaves, creating a balanced, refreshing and delightful flavor.
During the event, shuttle buses will be provided for guests to travel to The Excelsior Hotel in Hong Kong for the “Asia’s 50 Best Bars Bartenders’ Feast”, making it convenient for attendees to participate in the grand event.
