“Lovers of durian” and those who enjoy Thai cuisine must try this! Hotel ICON, in collaboration with DITP HK, has recently launched the “Thai Fruit Festival @The Market”. In addition to being able to taste fresh fruits directly imported from Thailand, there are also various exciting durian desserts to look forward to!
During the “Thai Fruit Festival,” the buffet will serve 11 types of Thai fruits, including Thai red diamond mango, green mango, longan, rambutan, dragon fruit, pineapple, wax apple, sugar apple, pomelo, honeydew melon, and watermelon. As for durian desserts, there will be mini D24 durian cheesecake, durian pandan pineapple bun, and homemade durian ice cream that you definitely shouldn’t miss. You can even add durian sauce to enhance the rich flavor!
The food full of Thai flavors includes grilled beef and mangosteen salad, which combines the sweet and slightly sour Thai mangosteen with rich beef, along with lime juice and crispy scallions, refreshing and layered. The Thai sweet and sour mango fish is made by pairing crispy fried fish with a sweet and sour sauce made from green mango, tomato, and herbs to enhance the flavor.
There are also dishes such as the dense and moist pineapple glutinous rice, Thai-style curry pork with rambutan, and spicy pomelo mango salad sprinkled with roasted peanuts and fresh herbs.
In addition, there are various regular delicacies at The Market, such as sashimi, sushi, frozen seafood, cold dishes, Peking duck rolls, Hainanese chicken rice, stewed soup, Indian curry, etc., as well as a wide selection of Godiva, Mövenpick, or Häagen-Dazs ice cream.
