In terms of styles, our main store in Mui Wo offers original, pork floss, and chocolate flavors, while our Central store has an exclusive matcha flavor. However, please note that due to the time required to cook the red bean filling for the matcha flavor, it is only baked once a day, around 11:00 to 11:30 in the morning, and there are approximately 60 pieces available. They usually sell out within half an hour.
The taste and recipe of our main store and branch are the same, with a crispy outer layer and a soft and chewy interior. However, each store has its own baking process. The main store in Mui Wo does not have on-site baking equipment and only sells pre-packaged mochi balls. On the other hand, the Central store has a front shop and a back factory, where fresh mochi balls are baked several times a day. You can enjoy warm and tender mochi balls with a more superior taste compared to our main store!
Another advantage of the Central store is that it allows for a combination of two flavors, pork floss and chocolate, which are also very popular. Especially the chocolate flavor that still has a slight warmth, giving it a semi-melted texture inside.
In terms of price, our store and the Central store are the same. Original flavor is $25 for 6 pieces, while other flavors are $35 for 6 pieces. There is no additional charge for going from the outlying islands to Central, which is quite rare!
