A new branch of Kyoto’s Kageyama Ramen has opened in Central! Savory broth ramen/DIY sushi rolls.

This ramen restaurant “GOGYO” from Kyoto is opening a new branch in Hong Kong, combining elements of izakaya and ramen shops. In addition to ramen, they also offer a variety of appetizers, main dishes, and sake pairings.

The most classic flavor of ramen is the Five Elements Charred Miso Ramen ($128), which is made by high-temperature roasting homemade miso sauce with hot oil to create the soup base. The black soup base has a charred and slightly smoky flavor.

If you like sashimi or rolls, you can try the Kyoto-style hand-woven sushi ($288). The plate contains 9 small dishes, including toro, oil sardine, sea urchin, red shrimp, and vegetable tempura, accompanied by seaweed and sushi rice. Guests can freely roll them into hand rolls.

Other snacks for pairing with alcohol include Charred Miso and Wagyu Sandwich ($248) and Kagoshima Wagyu Thinly Sliced Beef ($278). As for drinks, there are collaborations with local brands, including handcrafted beers by Heros and a large cup of Perilla Green Tea Kombucha made by tea experts. Whether you’re having lunch in Central or enjoying a drink after work, there are plenty of options to choose from.
