Kwun Tong Australian-style restaurant! Weekend limited special hearty breakfast / mixed berry hot pancakes

by

When it comes to Australia, besides surfing, sunshine, and beaches, unique cafes and restaurants are also iconic. The Australian-style Western restaurant Flames recently opened its flagship store in Kwun Tong, with a special semi-outdoor dining area and plenty of potted plants inside and outside the restaurant. The spacious area, along with the lush greenery, adds to the Australian vibe, injecting a sense of vitality into the Kwun Tong industrial area.

The new store focuses on approachable Australian cuisine, offering an Aussie laid-back style brunch. The top choice is the weekend special breakfast set (HK$158), which includes bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes, and sourdough toast.

Another must-try signature dish is the Mixed Berry Hot Pancake (HK$98), a popular delicacy in many authentic Australian cafes. The pancake is thick and fluffy, filled with mixed berries, almond crumbs, topped with Italian ricotta cheese and maple syrup, satisfying with every bite.

The hot mushroom and bacon baked egg (HK$98) is made with creamy sauce, spinach, mushrooms, bacon, and a whole egg baked in the oven. It can be paired with sourdough toast to soak up the egg yolk.

On weekdays, the restaurant mainly serves Western food, with a variety of salads, roasted chicken, steaks, pasta, and pizzas. The Portuguese-style spicy roasted spring chicken (HK$238) and pizzas (starting from HK$148) are both excellent and perfect for sharing with friends. Office workers in Kwun Tong may consider bookmarking this restaurant, as it is a great option for lunch or dinner after work.
