This durian mooncake is filled with rich durian mousse and four types of Japanese sticky rice cakes, including coconut durian sticky rice cake, pandan durian sticky rice cake, green tea durian sticky rice cake, and pineapple durian sticky rice cake. It is chewy, fragrant, and sweet, with a sprinkle of smooth white chocolate powder on top of the mooncake, paired with a buttery crust. The pineapple durian sticky rice cake, in particular, mimics traditional mooncakes, with golden pineapple as the filling that resembles salted egg yolks when sliced open!
In addition, there is also the Michelin-recommended restaurant Tin Lung Heen’s “Traditional Mini Egg Yolk White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncake”, made with premium lotus seeds and paired with golden salted egg yolk, thin crust with rich filling, and a mouthful of oily fragrance.
Both mooncakes are accompanied by limited edition gift boxes designed by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design with the concept of “appreciating the moon”, with a main theme of blue and simple rounded lines, elegant and generous.
