Another must-visit café! Melrose Coffee recently opened in the SoHo area of Central, drawing inspiration from Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. The storefront is painted in a slightly tipsy rose pink, creating a dining space with a California vibe.
The marble coral arch of Melrose Coffee, the blush rose-tone porcelain tile walls, striped seat cushions, etc., are different from the common Nordic minimalist design seen in coffee shops. With sunlight streaming into the coffee shop, it evokes thoughts of the clear skies of Los Angeles!
The meal is also full of “California style”! There are a variety of savory and sweet pastries to choose from, including crispy potato hash browns with smoked salmon, salmon roe, and hollandaise sauce, spinach bacon and egg pancake with bell peppers, cucumbers, mushrooms, and other vegetables, as well as American thin crispy waffles with maple syrup, mixed berries, whey cheese, and Parmesan ham toast, croissant waffles, and more. For those who prefer to go green, you can find a variety of vegan pastries from Ovule Bakery, a sister brand of Melrose Coffee and vegan restaurant Sow Vegan, in the store.
The coffee in the store is made from single-origin coffee beans from Honduras, with lively peach and oolong tea aromas. ESP Cinnamon blends Indian milk tea with Italian espresso, creating a versatile and refreshing flavor. There are also caffeine-free specialty drinks, such as Apple Tea Cap, which combines homemade caramel cinnamon apple sauce, Scottish black tea, and milk, just like a latte!
