Arrive at the “Fruit King” summer, why not try the durian-themed afternoon tea and check in! Hotel ICON’s The Market recently launched a new “Durian Fragrance” afternoon tea, featuring desserts with durian and Southeast Asian savory snacks!
Afternoon tea includes 3 selected durian pulps directly from Malaysia, including top-grade D197 Musang King durian, D175 Red Prawn durian, and D101 Johor Golden durian, satisfying all “durian lovers”!
Desserts include a refreshing durian coconut butterfly pea sago cup, while the durian pandan glutinous rice is made with natural blue butterfly pea juice, with coconut milk fully blended into the glutinous rice, fragrant and soft! You can also enjoy unlimited servings of homemade D197 Musang King and D24 durian mixed ice cream, made with generous durian pulp, each bite is rich in the king of fruits aroma!
In addition to durian desserts, afternoon tea also brings Southeast Asian flavored seafood savory snacks, including the crispy and sweet charcoal-grilled Caribbean wild lobster tail, accompanied by a secret Malaysian seafood sauce, which tastes delicious! Thai spicy shrimp cups are refreshing and appetizing, while Thai crab salmon roe cakes combine a variety of Thai spices, topped with plump salmon roe, creating a rich flavor profile! There are also mildly spicy grilled Malaysian barramundi, and Singapore’s famous dish, crispy soft-shell shrimp, with a crunchy texture!
A must-mention is the coconut durian stew, simmered with durian shell, durian seed, Musang King durian flesh, coconut meat, white fungus, winter melon, red dates, etc. for 3 hours, sweet and moisturizing!
