Messika’s new high-end jewelry collection, Beyond the Light, interprets the image of the ancient Egyptian scarab with a 33-carat main stone.

The just-concluded Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, Messika presented the brand new high jewelry collection Beyond the Light. Brand founder and creative director Valérie Messika drew inspiration from ancient Egypt, selecting 15 dazzling diamonds from a 110-carat diamond rough, paired with top diamonds and platinum, creating the stunning Akh-Ba-Ka jewelry set.

In ancient Egypt, “KA” refers to vitality, while “BA” refers to the transformation of reincarnation. These two forces create “AKH”, which is the process of transforming into light. Therefore, Akh-Ba-Ka signifies a journey beyond sublimation and the journey of the original stone, telling stories about heritage, family, and craftsmanship.

Creating the Akh-Ba-Ka jewelry set is not easy, it can be said to be a major challenge in advanced jewelry techniques. The focal masterpiece of the set lies in a necklace set with 2,550 diamonds, weighing 71.49 carats; through modern avant-garde creativity combining diamonds and platinum, it reinterprets the winged scarab beetle from ancient Egyptian mythology.

This stunning necklace features a 33-carat diamond at its center, cleverly integrated into a pendant made up of multiple parts. Valérie Messika creatively brings the elegant cushion-cut main stone to another level, showcasing the charm of the diamond, infusing the scarab with pure radiance, while also symbolizing the rebirth of the sacred scarab worshipped by the ancient Egyptians, becoming an eternal emblem like the diamond.
