Dubbed the “fashion Oscars,” the Met Gala officially kicked off at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This year’s theme is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” which will showcase 150 of the late Karl Lagerfeld’s creations and raise funds for The Met’s Costume Institute.
Every year, the Met Gala’s red carpet is a highlight of carefully dressed celebrities. This time, the stars paid tribute to the late Karl Lagerfeld through their outfits, including wearing Chanel couture, his favorite black and white colors, and even styles inspired by his beloved cat Choupette. There were also many new faces participating in this fashion event for the first time, from Jennie to Song Hye Kyo to Jackson Wang, and their styles added even more excitement to this fashionable event.
