Zhu Dequn

The retrospective exhibition of Chu Teh-Chun (1920-2014) "Nebula" will be held from April 20 to June 30 this year, concurrently with the 60th Venice International Art Biennale. The exhibition will take place on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, opposite St. Mark's Square in Venice, curated by art historian Matthieu Poirier. This is the most important exhibition dedicated to the Chinese-French painter Chu Teh-Chun in recent years.

The focus of this exhibition is Monet's influence on future art. In addition to his early masterpieces, the gallery also showcases works by contemporary artists such as Zao Wou-Ki, Chu Teh Chun, and Xie Jinglan, who were influenced by his style.

Opera Gallery, a well-established gallery that has been in Hong Kong for 17 years, recently relocated from its old location on Wyndham Street to the Grand Hyatt Plaza. It recently held a grand opening exhibition titled "Zhu Dequn," showcasing 18 magnificent works by the lyrical abstract master Zhu Dequn, injecting the new space with a unique atmosphere of abstract expressionism!

The French May Arts Festival has finally kicked off, bringing the works of abstract art master Chu Teh-Chun, as well as the premiere of a documentary about his life and artistic creations.

A painting known as the "first museum-quality snowscape triptych" titled "Snow in Prosperous Times" will be featured in the upcoming Sotheby's Modern Art Evening Auction next month, with an estimated value of HK$80 million to HK$120 million, from a significant European private collection.
