Japanese-style garden ambiance, winding alley Café! Soft sponge cake / smooth scrambled eggs sourdough toast

The coffee shop trend is still going strong, and recently, there is a new charming coffee shop in Kam Ping Street, North Point – Intimate Coffee! Located near the MTR station, the street is a bit hidden, but within the small sloping alley, there are plenty of eateries, making it a bustling yet peaceful leisure spot.

Just a few steps up the stairs, you will see this new café. The outdoor seating by the stairs is designed like a Japanese garden, with wooden chairs, green plants, and a Japanese garden stone lantern. Here, you can enjoy coffee and cake while quietly watching passersby, feeling like you’re in a Japanese community coffee shop!

The menu offers a common all-day breakfast, with toast made from sourdough bread, highly praised, and you can choose two out of four toppings (HK$98). Each portion is generous, including: avocado and smoked salmon with red onions, Parmesan cheese with spicy sausage and sun-dried tomatoes, scrambled eggs with avocado, black truffle scrambled eggs, where the cheese and spicy sausage is very rich, and the scrambled eggs feel smooth and tender.

During the lunch hours from 12pm to 3pm, there are interesting pasta options available, such as homemade meatballs or Japanese scallops, as well as a vegan version of carbonara. However, the must-try item is their homemade cakes, with different styles available daily! The sponge cake is particularly surprising, achieving a moist and soft texture, while the cream is also very smooth, making it a great choice for enjoying dessert and coffee in the afternoon.
