Black Friday, Double 11 shopping frenzy? The Ordinary’s simple trick reminds everyone to “consume rationally”!

At the end of each year, everyone’s desire to buy will soar due to Black Friday, Double 11, and holiday discounts offered by department stores. This year, in order to stimulate consumption, the discounts provided by brands are even more attractive, with direct cash discounts, buy 1 get 10, and other special offers making everyone buy more aggressively and crazily. However, based on past experiences, the bigger the discount, the greater the regret. Often, people regret buying too much and wasting money due to impulse purchases.

Bye-bye Black Friday. Hello KNOWvember. Last November, we asked you to shop slowly. 🐢 We said that skincare purchases should be based on education, not impulse because we value conscious consumption. For us, Black Friday no longer felt like a people or planet-friendly event, and so we closed our stores and website for a moment of nothingness. We did, however, still want to bring you a saving. The equivalent of almost three planets could be required to provide the natural resources needed to sustain current lifestyles.” (UN.org). On November 27th—formerly known as Black Friday—we will be pressing pause. Our stores and website will be closed, once again, for a moment of nothingness. Not wanting to make impulsive purchases anymore? The beauty brand The Ordinary‘s parent company DECIEM has recently promoted the concept of “rational consumption,” providing longer shopping discounts to give everyone more time to understand their personal needs and product features, allowing rationality to prevail over impulse and become a savvy consumer!
