The Greatness of a Hero
The theme of the event, “The Great Hero”, comes from a message from Guo Jing to Yang Guo in “The Return of the Condor Heroes”, where he mentions: “For the country and the people, that is the great hero.” This is a true portrayal of many heroes in Mr. Jin Yong’s works, as well as his inner pursuit.
Overview of his martial arts character image, often breaking the traditional image of handsome, smart, and upright protagonists, also showing his negative attitude towards racial vendettas, hence being referred to as the “great hero”. Therefore, this year’s celebration event is named “The Great Hero – Jin Yong Centennial Commemoration”, hoping to lead the world’s “xia” to revisit the martial arts classics and pay tribute to Jin Yong’s immortal centennial.
