上月下旬，Audemars Piguet率先在发布会上宣布 – 确认将与Marvel展开合作企划 – 令这场在Watches & Wonders 2021开展前的独立地发布会，带来了一大惊喜，甚至比起品牌所带来共16款的最新设计，其中包括最具代表性、改以翡翠绿色打造表盘的Royal Oak系列，更具份量。
当日 Audemars Piguet 执行总裁 François-Henry Bennahmias 只简单分享合作主意的由来，而品牌刚刚亦确认企划内容将在 4 月 10 日透过独立发布，详细地揭示这项重量级跨界合作，而品牌将透过官方网站进行直播，时间为香港时间晚上 11 时。
在回顾发布会上，François-Henry Bennahmias 分享了与老朋友、在《Marvel》系列中扮演“War Machine”的Don Cheadle的合作，让这个酝酿了长达15年的梦想，最终在2017年得以实现。
He also pointed out that this collaboration was inspired by the legendary watch designer Gerald Genta, who created different designs based on cartoon characters in the 1980s, prompting Audemars Piguet to pay tribute to a new generation of heroes who bring inspiration and revelation to the world.
