Xiaopeng Motors has been dedicated to exploring the field of intelligent electric vehicles since its establishment in 2014. Recently, Xiaopeng Motors and the Sonam Group held a brand launch ceremony and the first car show at the Exhibition Hall of the Harbour City Ocean Terminal, showcasing a range of highly anticipated new electric vehicle models, including the all-electric intelligent flagship SUV G6, the flagship all-electric seven-seater X9, and the Xiaopeng Huitian Flying Car “Voyager X2”. This series of events marks the official entry of Xiaopeng Motors into the Hong Kong market.
The all-electric intelligent benchmark SUV G6, officially launched in mainland China in 2023, has attracted tens of thousands of orders during the pre-sale period, sparking a nationwide craze. It comes in two versions: the standard 580 rear-wheel drive version and the 755 extended-range rear-wheel drive version, with dimensions of 4,753 x 1,920 x 1,650mm and a longer wheelbase of 2,890mm compared to its peers, boasting a low drag coefficient of Cd0.248. The design is simple, with smooth lines and a futuristic feel.
Flagship pure electric seven-seater car X9, with dimensions of 5,293mm x 1,988mm x 1,785mm, and a wheelbase of 3,160mm. Inspired by future technology, it breaks away from the traditional “boxy” shape of MPVs, adopting a design similar to a starship, presenting avant-garde and elegant body lines with sharp angular edges, subverting the image of traditional family travel.
The two-seater flying car Traveler X2, independently developed by Xiaopeng Huitian, an ecological enterprise of Xiaopeng Motors, has vertical take-off and landing capabilities like a helicopter, combining smart cars with modern aviation technology. The flying car is made of carbon fiber material, which is lightweight and safe, with a sleek and stylish water drop-shaped design. In March of this year, the Traveler X2 took off vertically from the Tianhe Square in Zhujiang New Town, Guangzhou, and flew towards the Canton Tower in autonomous driving mode, passing landmarks and landscapes such as the Pearl River and the Guangdong Museum along the way, lasting for a total of 6 minutes.
In addition, Xiaopeng Motors will soon launch its first pop-up store and plans to open showrooms in Yuen Long and Wan Chai in the third quarter. From May 20 to July 1, the Yuen Long Yoho Town will showcase the pure electric intelligent SUV G6 and flagship seven-seater X9. In the third quarter, the Sha Tin Sek Mun delivery and maintenance center of the Senna Automotive Group will also be operational. Xiaopeng Motors, with its cutting-edge full-stack self-developed pure electric technology, has redefined the zero-emission intelligent travel experience and is moving towards a new era of pure electric vehicles with Hong Kong car owners, marking a new milestone in the development of electric vehicles in Hong Kong.
