When it comes to classic cars, the 1963 Porsche 911 is definitely one of them. Recently, TAG Heuer has launched 2 Carrera Chronosprint×Porsche watches to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 911 series. These new watches combine elements of watches and cars, incorporating the feature of the early acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers in just 9.1 seconds.
Both new watches are equipped with the new TH20-08 movement. After starting the chronograph, the central chronograph seconds hand will quickly pass over the first 9 seconds marked in red, and then gradually slow down, echoing the performance of a racing car accelerating. It can accelerate from 0 to a speed of 100 kilometers per hour within 9.1 seconds.
In terms of strap design, the two new watches are respectively paired with a rose gold case and a brown strap, and a stainless steel case with a black strap. Both watches use calf leather straps, which are engraved with the 911 logo embossed decoration.
The watch also features a double blue sapphire crystal design, with a curved crystal glass that echoes the 1970s curved hesalite carbon fiber glass mirror; as for the specially designed rotor on the back of the watch, it imitates Porsche’s classic three-spoke steering wheel.
