When it comes to the representative of the highest delivery volume of cars in 2021, we must mention Porsche, which has been developing quite maturely in new directions in recent years. With electrification becoming the dominant trend in the automotive industry, Porsche recently announced that it will establish its own charging infrastructure.
According to Porsche CEO Oliver Blume, the company has set a goal to increase the sales of its electric vehicles to over 80% by 2030. Therefore, the company has recently partnered with third-party charging network suppliers to introduce Porsche-exclusive charging stations and related facilities. As for whether they will establish their own “fast charging network infrastructure” in the future, Porsche has not yet disclosed any related developments or news, but analysts believe that this long-term goal will definitely benefit Porsche’s future development.
In addition to charging stations, Porsche previously announced the establishment of the Cellforce Group, responsible for developing and producing high-performance batteries. It is reported that battery production will officially begin in 2024, with an initial production capacity of at least 100 MWh per year, or approximately 100 kWh per vehicle.
In order to achieve the goal of selling more than 80% electric vehicles, the manufacturer plans to deliver more than double the number of Taycan series vehicles in 2021, preparing to introduce more models into the existing electric vehicle lineup to further drive its electrification strategy. Moreover, there are reports that the all-electric Macan is already in progress, and Porsche has even confirmed that a fully electric 718 model will be launched in 2025. Porsche owners and enthusiasts, why not patiently look forward to it.
