Led by Kim Jones, FENDI has released a new 2021 autumn/winter capsule collection, combining brand’s classic designs with Kim Jones’ fresh design language, featuring personality-filled wool materials, elegant sportswear, stylish tailored suits, and the eclectic Karligraphy knitwear, fully embodying FENDI’s innovative design aesthetics.
The new pattern of FENDI has undergone several changes and once again appeared in the winter special series. The eye-catching marble print pattern in Kim Jones’ first haute couture collection has been transformed into peacock blue and bold psychedelic tones, used on jacquard wool coats and flowing velvet materials, becoming the highlight of this season.
In detail, the belt and cufflinks are embellished with FENDI O’Lock jewelry, the famous Selleria stitching is embossed on leather and sewn into cashmere. A group of craftsmen use FENDI’s unique craftsmanship to create the main fur pieces made of sheared wool material: organza with delicate stripes, a pilot jacket with Karligraphy laser-embossed patterns, and a reversible mink jacket lined with matching FF logo patterns. In terms of tailoring, FENDI’s new design concept is particularly evident – such as the umbrella-shaped sleeves of the trench coat, loose-fitting shirt jackets, flowing dresses, and wool fringe scarves, all presenting an elegant and soft look.
In addition, evening gown designs also exude a unique sense of confidence. Kim Jones has reduced the luxurious velvet, sparkling diamonds, and luxurious lace that create a magnificent feeling for the extremely elegant design, allowing the satin pajama set to perfectly embody this modern spirit.
In terms of footwear, FENDI has launched the FENDI First ankle boots for the first time, made of velvet, leather, and rare leather materials, along with the FENDI O’Lock Loafer. The brand also introduces the new FENDI Match sneakers for both men and women, adding a touch of retro sports shoe style to the brand.
Classic handbags like Peekaboo, Baguette, Sunshine Shopper, and FENDI Touch are also updated with the changing seasons: the O’Lock design has become an accessory, the FENDI First adorned with Karligraphy embroidery is now available in leather, exotic leather, velvet, and suede styles; for FENDI First and Peekaboo, styles using marble shaved velvet material have been introduced, showcasing the exquisite craftsmanship of FENDI known as “carpet embroidery”.
