If you love “siu mai”, you must bookmark it! Yoho Mall, together with the Hong Kong Siu Mai Interest Group, brings you the first siu mai festival in Hong Kong – “Finding the Story of Siu Mai”. There are photo spots, game booths, and a themed creative market!
Located in the middle of the venue is a “giant dumpling machine” that can grab giant dumpling plush toys from inside the machine. “Rainbow Dumplings” is a classic game called “Throwing Rainbows,” and there is also “Skewer Dumplings” where you can fish for dumplings with a fishing rod, and “Escape from the Dumpling Maze”!
Another market in the city is the “Shumai Yokomachi” which focuses on gourmet food. It includes “Tang Shu Shumai” with decades of experience in dim sum from renowned restaurants, as well as “Bao Qian” shumai loved by cilantro enthusiasts. There is also a chili oil from the sauce brand “Spice Guide”. In the “Shumai Zakka” creative booth, there are many handmade boutique items and lifestyle goods with a shumai theme, including shumai scented stones, crochet shumai earrings, and shumai Apple Watch straps.
The Hong Kong Siu Mai Advocacy Group has opened a “pop-up store” and launched limited edition canvas bags with exclusive quotes, as well as various Siu Mai merchandise! The Siu Mai Festival also introduces a “food map” that allows everyone to eat while exploring!
