This old-fashioned and well-known Hongyun Ice Cream Parlor and Bakery in Prince Edward, which gained fame from Stephen Chow’s movie “From Vegas to Macau”, recently closed for about a month for interior renovations and finally reopened this week! The nostalgic interior design has been largely preserved, with the staircase leading to the attic and the old clock, still exuding the flavor of old Hong Kong.
Not only is the nostalgic atmosphere here, but their egg custard tart is also a high-quality creation. The crust of the egg custard tart is very crispy, and the egg custard filling is baked until it is just cooked, with a molten center effect. It is hot, spicy, and very smooth.
Selling for $12 each can be considered value for money, even for takeout. The crust of the cookie tart is still crispy and flaky, making it a must-try for all egg tart lovers.
