Schiaparelli 2022/2023 Autumn/Winter Haute Couture Collection, bringing the “rebirth” of last century’s haute couture.

by

Creative Director Daniel Roseberry has named this season “Born Again” to celebrate the beauty of Schiaparelli’s haute couture, presenting his most solemn, tasteful, and even comparable to “museum pieces” haute couture collection to date.

Daniel Roseberry deliberately toned down the overly dramatic performance techniques of past seasons, presenting 33 unforgettable looks that seem to be a reinterpretation of the Schiaparelli archives, but actually showcase the profound influence of the brand’s founder, Elsa Schiaparelli, on the fashion industry over the past century.

The collection is full of Spanish-style coats and dresses, undoubtedly reminiscent of Christian Lacroix’s haute couture works in the 1980s; those velvet dresses and suits blooming with three-dimensional flowers bring to mind Yves Saint Laurent’s classic 1988 spring/summer haute couture collection, allowing more people to understand Schiaparelli’s pioneering creativity and century-long influence.

The highlight of the show is a blood-red haute couture evening gown, where Daniel Roseberry incorporates hearts and blood vessels into the design, outlined with satin and velvet to create captivating lines, sexy yet delicate, like a dynamic piece of art.
