Elie Saab 2021/22 Autumn Haute Couture Collection: Delivering Hope through a Floral Feast

by

In August last year, a violent explosion occurred in the warehouse area of the port of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, causing extensive damage to the capital and almost completely destroying the seaside buildings. The studio and headquarters of the national treasure-level haute couture brand Elie Saab were also affected, with rubble scattered everywhere. Despite facing such a huge disaster, Elie Saab himself did not become negative. While working hard to complete new collections season after season, he named the 2021/2022 autumn/winter haute couture collection “Buds of Hope”. Each enchanting full-skirted evening gown comes from the blooming and blossoming posture of flower buds, symbolizing the moment of “realization, prosperity, and blooming”.

The 2021/2022 autumn/winter haute couture fashion collection is like a colorful and imaginative rebirth dream, where each evening gown is like a blooming landscape, with delicate fabrics such as soft pink feathers and tulle forming various three-dimensional bouquets and petals, embellishing the shoulders and hem of the full skirts, swaying gracefully as the models walk.

The shiny and smooth black and red velvet evening gown, tailored with a fishtail cut, and featuring a wave-shaped hollow design at the waist, highlights the charming “S” curve of women.

A series of nude chiffon creates a distinct ethereal temperament, with the designer embellishing these chiffon evening gowns with a large amount of three-dimensional floral embroidery, or paired with chiffon capes, exuding a dreamy atmosphere.
